Week 9 - Black

Last week Maisy grew up into a child, Ethan got promoted up to High School Teacher, Bay got a gold toy making badge and purchased a toy shop (currently rank 3).

At the beginning of the week one of Bay's employees quit. I wonder if it had anything to do with Rowan, since he's the one he cheated on Elias with.

Bay gets a surprise when she gets home from work.

Its a little odd having a baby when Maisy is becoming a teen, but its not all that unusual.

Maisy is quite pretty. I can see bits of both her parents in her.

She also knows how to beat all the boys.

Bay takes time off working at the toy shop seeing as the baby is due soon.

Its a boy named Henley.

The down side to working with a bunch of snotty nosed kids.

Those chemical sprays don't help much either.

Maisy is a fitness buff.

Linden pops around on his day off to meet his new nephew.

One more and a position in the medical career is unlocked.

Ethan doesn't know how to rest.

Henley quickly becomes a toddler.

Maisy and Albert Okitikoo a pretty good friends.

One thing Maisy isn't good at is cooking. Ethan comes to the rescue.

It takes forever, but the fire gets put out. Unfortunately they lost half their kitchen in the battle.

Poor Ethan is still as sick as a dog.

Medical career slot is now open!

Bay is tired of her family being so sick so she makes some comfort soup.

Unfortunately for Ethan its too late.

Was it sickness... or was it the soup?

I have never had a sim die from sickness before.

"Was it sickness... or was it the soup?"
Hahaha.

Not to bother you or anything, but I've finally caught up on all your updates and I was just wondering where you got your default skins from ;o?

My default skins are these ones. I made my own add on set for them too on my main journal.

Wow, there has been so many surprise deaths in SF! :o Do you use the realistic sickness-mod or was Ethan's death a result of the default Maxis illness?

I started reading your updates from the beginning yesterday and I'm working my way up slowly but surely. So many updates! It's great to see how committed you are to your challenge :)

Realistic sickness all the way. It makes things more interesting. If everyone lived through to elder it would be pretty boring.

I'm so happy you're reading it. Clayfield is part of the reason I was so eager to do this challenge. And by commitment you mean lack of a life, yes?

I used to have that mod installed and now I'm concidering adding it back. It's started to be too boring indeed... I think I'm going to let someone make and sell comfort soup in Clayfield just in case there isn't anyone in some households who can make it themselves. ;P

Haha, yes. With Sims the commitment usually means lack of life, in my case too. ;)

That is a fun idea - a restaurant that only sells comfort soup!
